A ROCKIN’ GOOD TIME-RIVER ROCK NATIVITY FAMILY CRAFT

Nothing says the holidays like great food! Join us for a comfort-food Christmas brunch demonstration by Chef Andria Gaskins. Gaskins is a prize-winning cook and baker turned novelist. She has won several national cooking competitions, including Food Network’s Ultimate Recipe Showdown, Cooking Channel’s Perfect 3, Nordic Ware’s Bundts Across America, and the National Cornbread Cook-Off. She has also competed in the World Food Championship and Beringer’s Great Steak Challenge. Dr. Annette Laing, a former history professor, with more than 15 years of experience, will introduce her books, the Snipesville Chronicles, through a lively, creative presentation and performance, for readers 8 years and up! Students will learn about historical events with pictures, sounds, hands-on artifacts, songs, and reading. Readers will get the opportunity to ask questions, purchase books and get them personalized, and pose for pictures. Registration is required and tickets are free upon registration.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT DECORATION CLASS FOR KIDS

Each child will get to decorate, with glaze, 3-4 handmade pottery ornaments. There will be a demonstration on how the slab ornaments were made. The ornaments will be available for pick-up starting on Friday, Dec. 13 at the address above. $25 per child. Limit 15. (Ages 7-10 years)

CRAFTY KIDS INTERACTIVE NATIVITY SET

Celebrate the true meaning of the Christmas season by creating a personalized Childrens Nativity Set. Using wooden figurines and acrylic paint, kids will create a full nativity set. This will also include a bag for storage after the holiday season. Workshop is available for ages 8-13 and is LIMITED to 15 students. Cost is $40.

CRAFTY KIDS ORNAMENT WORKSHOP

Bring your Christmas spirit to my “Crafty Kids Christmas Ornament Workshop”!!! Complete 3 ornaments for your tree. Experiment with a “poured paint” technique to add crazy color to a clear ball ornament. Next, we will turn a Christmas bulb into a reindeer face. And finally, we will create a mini canvas masterpiece of Santa’s red coat and belt/buckle!! All materials included (each project will be completed using acrylic paint)... just bring your creativity! The workshop is available for children ages 7-13. Tickets are $30 per child.

CLAY SNOWMAN PORTRAIT WORKSHOP

A snowman that never melts! That’s right! In this workshop, students will be using air-dry clay to create a wonderful keepsake that will make a great gift for someone special this season. Children under 3 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. $13 pp. Reservations required.

With a beautiful table right off the scene of an HGTV show, the idea of the community table is simple: to connect all people in our community for a positive shared experience. Young and old can share their love of LEGO bricks while benefiting the Jeffrey Lee Williams Foundation. Simply register and use your imagination and creativity,

your LEGO bricks (and other accessory items), and your skill, to build your unique Christmas-themed creation. Your creation will be displayed during ChristmasVille and voted on for a chance to win awesome prizes in multiple categories! Registration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt, gift bag, and entry for prizes. Must register on-line by Nov. 22. Space is limited, so hurry and register. Traditional full English Tea, including a generous assortment of sandwiches, savories, scones, and sweet treats. Tea is served amidst the beautifully decorated Woman’s Club of Rock Hill Club House with servers in Victorian attire and traditional carol singing. The Sugar Plum Boutique, offering Christmas decorations, gifts and homemade treats will be open one hour before and one hour after each Tea. Cost: $25pp; children under 12, $12. Space is limited; advance reservations are required with credit cards or checks (no tickets will be issued).
