Turn frosting and candy into festive masterpieces! The annual Gingerbread House Contest invites bakers and builders of all ages to create sweet holiday showpieces to be displayed during ChristmasVille weekend.

Need to know

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or trying it for the first time, this is your chance to showcase your skills and spread a little sugar-coated cheer.

Entries will be judged across age categories, with cash prizes awarded—and the public will vote for the coveted People’s Choice trophy.

New this year—one extra special creation across our Gingerbread, LEGO, and Ornament contests will be chosen for embodying the true spirit of ChristmasVille! Think: a whimsical Vernon Grant-inspired ornament, a snowy Old Town streetscape lit up like our festival, or anything that captures the magic and wonder we’re known for.
The winner will receive a ChristmasVille Spirit Award, complete with a certificate and a basket full of festive swag!

Entry Fee: $10

Guidelines:

  • Base size no larger than 24″ x 24″; height no taller than 24″
  • All components must be edible and non-perishable

Prize Categories:

  • Children (5–12): $75
  • Teens (13–19): $75
  • Adult (20+): $75
  • Business: Window Painting
  • People’s Choice: Specialty trophy
  • Spirit Award: Certificate and festive swag
