Friday has become a day for those young at heart, with activities designed for the active adult community in and around the Historic Lowenstein Building. Not to worry, you don’t have to show an ID to enter…all ages are welcome, especially those who are caregivers for our older generation. Various tables/booths will have representation from area organizations and businesses while being both educational and interactive with a “Seniors Helping Seniors” component and various workshop stations. The expo is adjacent to additional activities like cornhole, historic exhibits including a scale model of Rock Hill in 1953, as well as a living history component, and even a festival of trees.
Parking and access are easy! Just park in the parking deck directly across from the front entrance and walk over, or hop on one of the Encompass Health golf carts to get dropped off by the elevator! If you ask nicely, they’ll help you get to the Vendor Market just a block away!
Grant’s Pro Tip: If you love history, check out the Historic Trolley Tours (ticketed) for a 45-minute ride around Old Town to learn about the history, current buildings and businesses, and what’s slated to come!
