The Friday of ChristmasVille tends to be on the “quieter” side until the Rock Hill Christmas Parade lights up the night with the most spectacular parade around. This creates the perfect opportunity for our preschool friends to join us that morning for ChristmasVille festivities without the crowds!
We encourage the preschoolers to dress in their favorite Christmas-themed attire and head to Fountain Park for a morning of sing-alongs with Santa (8:30, 10:30 and 1 pm at the Fountain Park stage), as well as activities that include an around-the-world experience, mailing letters to the North Pole, visiting the Grinch’s house, strolling Main Street to view and vote on festive window displays, checking out gingerbread houses, locating the Old Town frogs, going on a Gnomes on the Roam scavenger hunt, and exploring the Whimsical World of Vernon Grant mural. Our friends at the York County Main Library will also have a special guest reading some of your favorite childhood stories and rhymes at 9:15 am and 10:15 am. Individuals can go to yclibrary.org to register, and groups can call (803) 981-5888 to register. Space is limited!
Be sure to grab a ChristmasVille activity book from Overhead Station, thanks to the City of Rock Hill’s support.
Gnome Pro Tip: Print the Gnomes on the Roam Scavenger Hunt before you head to Old Town.
